Learning about Wicca

Hi everyone! My name is Keighdee, and I've always been interested in witchcraft, or Wicca. Wicca is a religion, just like Christianity or Judaism. I'm sure you've seen plenty of movies and heard plenty of stories that paint Wicca as an evil, devil-worshiping religion, or a way to learn magic. There's much more than magic to witchcraft and Wiccans do not worship the devil. They don't even believe in the devil, at least, not the Christian Satan. Now, I'm not going to pretend that I know everything about Wicca, I don't. But I am going to tell you what I know as I learn it. I'll post free spells or potion recipes. I'll tell you about the different meanings of different colors of candles. But most of all, I'll teach you about the deity Wiccans worship: The Goddess. This is real witchcraft people, not the stuff movies tell you, thought almost as interesting. So, read on Wicca lovers!

P.S. Just to clarify, there are more than one deity that witches worship. There is the Horned God, for instance (often confused for Satan). Also, the Goddess comes in three forms: the maid, the mother, and the crone. This may seem like a woman-based religion, and it is, but men are just as free to join as women. This religion is really just a denomination of paganism, sort of like Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity. The pagans believed that women were the powerful gender, and as women are the ones who give birth, it must be a female god that created us. So men, you may feel left out sometimes, but stick with it. Wicca can be a rewarding religion.
